Hi, I’m Lauren
Does it feel like you can’t turn off your brain and stop worrying so you’re trapped in a constant state of panic?
You might be a young adult or teenager struggling to find balance and navigate the difficulties and transitions of adulthood. Or maybe you’ve experienced a traumatic event that is keeping you from enjoying your life and being present in your life and relationships.
You’re looking for a safe place to talk about your struggles and learn practical strategies to feel happy again. You want to be able to handle the daily struggles without breaking down and spiraling.
Life can certainly be difficult, and I get the experience of fear, isolation and hopelessness. I also know what it’s like on the other side, and I want to help you find relief.
My goal is to help adolescents and adults who are depressed, overwhelmed by anxiety, bogged down by previous trauma, or dealing with life transitions. I want to help you cope with life’s struggles, and find relief, peace, and joy again! You don’t have to struggle alone anymore.
How I Can Help You As Your Therapist
Therapy is a time to truly pause and take a break from the hecticness of your busy life and focus on yourself. I can help you become aware of what’s really going on inside, including those unhelpful and worst-case-scenario thinking that tend to overwhelm and freeze you in terror.
Being able to talk through your most inner thoughts and feelings with a trusted partner has been shown to create amazing healing and growth, allowing you to become unstuck and transform your life from robotic, day-to-day monotony into a meaningful, joyful life.
I’m skilled in building relationships and trust with my clients so you have the confidence to work beside me, believe in yourself, and build a compassionate, nurturing approach to yourself and the world around you.
Together we can examine your unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and develop healthier patterns to live a happier life. My approach is warm, accepting and relationship-based. My goal is to help you develop strength, self-love and skills to live the life you deserve. If applicable, I may utilize EMDR to help treat anxiety and trauma.
My Background And Experience
I’m a licensed professional counselor who works with both adolescents and adults. I help people who are depressed, overwhelmed by anxiety, bogged down by previous trauma or dealing with life transitions feel relief and learn how to cope so you can experience the happiness and peace you deserve.
I have worked in elementary, middle and high schools and have extensive experience in the developmental stages of kids and young adults. I have helped adolescents get through the struggle of depression and anxiety, become more successful at school and build more positive and peaceful relationships at home.
I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and am passionate about helping people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
In my personal life, I’m a mom, dog mom, wife and friend. I love hiking, traveling, being outdoors in the mountains and spending time with friends and family.
