Hi, I’m Shelby

Are you looking to repair, strengthen, or process a relationship? Perhaps you’re looking to reconnect with your partner or resolve conflict with a family member or friend.

Maybe you want to process a breakup or divorce, or come to terms with a relationship in your past but for a variety of reasons you can’t reach out to that person now for resolution.

Or, you may want to work on issues of self-esteem, perfectionism, or identity through repairing your relationship with yourself.

Whatever brings you to therapy, I would love to help you thrive in your relationships with others and with yourself.

How I Can Help You As Your Therapist

I would love to help you improve the emotional bonds you have with significant people in your life.

This particular focus in therapy is rooted in attachment theory, and I’ve found that it is one of the most impactful ways to help you improve your connection with other people, as well as regulate your own emotions.

Attachment-based therapy can also help you explore the relationships you have formed with different parts of yourself. I would love to help you explore these bonds so you can live more authentically and connect more deeply with those you love!

My Background And Experience

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 and I’m certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is one of the leading approaches to couples’ counseling worldwide.

EFT is particularly helpful in allowing you to get more in touch with deeper, underlying emotions that impact the way you relate to others and yourself.

Through EFT I will help you identify and communicate your needs and desires to your loved ones, and empower you while you learn to meet their needs in return, leading to a more connected and satisfying relationship.

I also practice Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). EFIT will allow you to explore how you relate to different parts of yourself. Through EFIT, I will help you accept, validate, and meet the needs of these different parts, leading you to a more regulated and positive relationship with yourself.

If you would like to explore a deeper relationship with yourself or others, I would love to connect!
